We offer a wide variety of instruction in all aspects of primitive wilderness survival, awareness, and tracking. Our class sizes are limited, and held in diverse natural settings, ensuring that our students get personal attention, individual mentoring, and quality field-based experience. In- depth lectures and hands-on workshops give our students the knowledge and the competence necessary to survive in the wilderness, using only aboriginal skills and what the earth provides. Primitive wilderness survival, awareness, and tracking, are umbrella terms we use to define an eclectic assortment of aboriginal skills. Worldwide, hunter gatherer societies used these skills to sustainably provide for all of the basic human needs of shelter, water, fire, and food. “living off the land” in the most extreme environments, and under the harshest climatic conditions. We are unparalleled in our level of field experience with these skills, and we teach from that vast wealth of knowledge. We offer courses lasting anywhere from one day to six months. Using cultural immersion with indigenous peoples, scientific field research, naturalist studies, and experimental archaeology to reconnect with the natural world. We are located in Bozeman, Montana. The greater Yellowstone ecosystem is our classroom. We also offer programs countrywide, and internationally.
